Kenneth Murray
Senior Attorney
Leveraging a multi-faceted career in engineering, Ken began his legal career as principal patent analyst for the University of California, Davis. He founded Murray Tech Law, located in the heart of the dynamic and progressive city of Davis, California, just a few blocks from the highly-respected University of California, Davis. Over the past 14 years, Ken has created an innovative law and technology intellectual property practice. During that time, he formed, invested in, and worked with several high-tech companies involved in energy, software, medical devices, advanced telecommunications, and healthcare software.
Ken is a registered patent attorney licensed to practice before the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office, as well as a member of the California State Bar. He graduated cum laude from the University of South Carolina-Columbia and received his law degree from the University of California, Davis.
Oh, yes - Ken is also an accomplished heavy crane and equipment operator.

Jay Jongjitirat
Attorney
Jay is a licensed attorney and member of the California State Bar, as well as a registered United States patent agent. He received his law degree from the University of California, Davis and holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Materials Science and Engineering from the University of Washington.
Prior to joining Murray Tech Law, Jay worked as an intern at NASA Ames Research Center, where he focused on the application of ceramic coatings for space shuttle tile. Additionally, he spent time at NASA as a legal intern in the Office of Chief Counsel, where he dealt with a variety of issues involving intellectual property, technology law, space law, real property, federal procurement, and employment law. Jay has also worked for Services for International Students and Scholars at UC Davis, where he assisted with visa processing and permanent residency applications.
Jay served as Technical Editor of Vol. 42 of the UC Davis Law Review and published an article analyzing patent law and the use of secondary considerations in nonobviousness determinations by the Federal Circuit and U.S. Supreme Court.

David Smith
Attorney
David is a licensed attorney and a member of the California State Bar. David also has a Bachelor of Science in Bioengineering from the University of California, San Diego.
Before entering law school, David worked as a production chemist at LIFE Technologies in Pleasanton, California.

Brent Capehart
Of Counsel
Brent is a licensed attorney, member of the State Bar of Arkansas and State Bar of Oklahoma, and registered to practice before the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office.
Brent is a graduate of the University of Arkansas School of Law and received his L.L.M. degree in Intellectual Property from the John Marshall Law School. Brent has a Bachelor's Degree in Aerospace Engineering from the Penn State University.
Brent has extensive experience in the acquisition, prosecution, maintenance, licensing and enforcement of client patent portfolios, as well as mamanagement and strategic development of intellectual property portfolios, including identification, evaluating, procurement, licensing, monetizing and enforcement of patent, trademark, copyright and trade secret assets. Brent has further developed in-house training programs for clients and co-authored a custom patent docket database.
Brent has also represented clients in U.S. federal and state courts, including the United States Supreme Court, the United States Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit, and various U.S. District Courts and state trial and appellate courts.

Richard Glovin
Of Counsel
Rich is a business attorney with a private practice in Sacramento, California. His practice covers all aspects of business, including formations, acquisitions or dispositions, operations, employee relations, real estate acquisitions (leasing or sales), and litigation.
During his twenty-five career as an attorney, Rich has handled diverse cases including prosecuting a multimillion dollar trademark suit, defending CEQA cases involving major water districts, defending a major government union, and negotiating joint operating agreements between non-profit and governmental entities.
Prior to becoming a lawyer, Rich managed various businesses, including restaurants, retail stores, warehouses, and resorts. His experience included managing up to 75 employees in a multi-union environment. Rich has served and continues to serve on advisory boards of professional and non-profit organizations, including the Oskar Schindler Humanities Foundation.
In his spare time, Rich enjoys alpine skiing, sailing and bicycling. As a golfer, he’s not so good.

Marilyn Sakai
Accountant
Marilyn supports Murray Tech Law's accounting and billing needs, lending her considerable experience experience in accounting, taxes, project and office management, real estate, audit tracing and general financial services. She has experience working in a variety of industries, including legal and professional services, construction, fitness, and retail, with an area of expertise in non-profit organizations, real estate, and land development.
In 2004, Marilyn founded DLRZ Bookkeeping, an accounting, administrative, tax, and financial consulting services firm. Shortly thereafter, she went back to her roots in construction and began working in land development on projects in California, Nevada, and Texas. Highlights in her career include working with several successful non-profit organizations in the Sacramento Area, including the Sacramento Hispanic Chamber of Commerce, California Association of Public Authorities, Festival de la Familia, California Center for Cooperative Development, NAMI California and the Strauss Festival of Elk Grove.
Marilyn graduated from California State University at Sacramento with a degree in Business, Accounting. She has also studied real estate and child development and is a California-licensed real estate agent.

Megan Feeney
Administrative Assistant
Megan performs adminstrative functions for Murray Tech Law. She works the front desk, handles scheduling for the firm, and provides staff support.
Megan graduated from the University of California, Davis with a degree in Clinical Nutrition and a minor in Spanish.

Kim Pham
Kim is a current student at the University of California, Davis.

Ruby Chung
Ruby is a law student at the UC Davis School of Law and a J.D. candidate for the class of 2016. She earned bachelor's and master's degrees from the University of California, Los Angeles in Mechanical Engineering.
Before law school, Ruby worked as a design engineer for Pratt & Whitney Rocketdyne.

Katherine Wenner
Katie arrived at UC Davis intending to pursue a BA in English and attend law school. After further consideration, she decided instead to pursue an MBA and has added minors in both Sociology and Managerial Economics to complement her English degree. She hopes to develop a career in Business Management and is interested in real estate, marketing, and corporate management.
